Resting of the affected muscles is highly recommended by the doctors. The patient is advised to discontinue the activity that results in the pain in the wrist. R.I.C.E. method is extremely useful, which means rest, ice, compression and elevation. Icing should be done for a minimum of 10-15 minutes just after the injury to cut down the inflammation and pain of the affected area. Wrap the forearm near the injured elbow to help the muscles to heal. Ultrasound sessions may be used by the physiotherapist to reduce the pain. They may also teach few exercises to increase mobility of the area. |
